The Plymouth Superbird was based off the Roadrunner and was available for only the 1970 model year. Dodge had come out with a winged car for NASCAR in 1969 with the Charger Daytona, and the Superbird was Plymouth’s version. Only 1,920 Superbirds were produced with a majority of them coming equipped with the 440 engine and 727 Torqueflite automatic transmission, as found in this numbers matching example. This Superbird is one of the 440 vehicles painted in Lemon Twist Yellow and was restored by Restorations by Julius.in Limelight Green, this Mopar monster makes 747 horsepower to the tire and never goes unnoticed. This car was featured on the cover of Mopar Max magazine in 2012 and was restored by Restorations by Julius in 2007.
